CUANZA IS A CONTINUOUS RECONSTRUCTION.
Born between Angola and France, CUANZA explores identity through clothing, form and material.
The brand was created from a desire to translate fragments of memory, culture and personal experience into contemporary silhouettes.

FROM ANGOLA TO PARIS
CUANZA takes its name from the Cuanza River, one of the major rivers of Angola.
Growing up between different cultural references, I became interested in the space between what is inherited and what is reconstructed.
Clothing became a way to explore that space.

THE BODY AS RECONSTRUCTED TERRITORY.
CUANZA approaches clothing as a meeting point between material, body and memory.
African textiles are not treated as decoration. They become part of a new visual language, combined with contemporary silhouettes, proportions and materials.
